Help! Found A Male Silver Pheasant in My Yard!

Today makes exactly one month since I last saw the Silver. It is my belief that he did not make it. When he went missing on March 4th, we were still covered with multiple feet of snow and dealing with very frigid temps. So, there would have been no where else for him to find food around here at that time. Thank you to everyone who attempted to offer advice, and a special thanks to Tony for offering to give him a home if we were able to capture him. Unfortunately, all our efforts to save the lovely fellow were simply not enough. If you are ever in our area again, Tony, and you would like the Havahart trap, you are welcome to it. I don't anticipate us ever having a need for it, and it is too late to return it.

You didn't see the post new spoting? There is a georgeous pic of him at a car dealership in Somerset. He made thru the winter and I'm sure he is on the hunt for a mate.

Really?? I don't read these forums at all. I only came here seeking advice when I discovered "Benjamin" in my backyard on January 30th, and I am only subscribed to this thread. I am so thrilled he is okay! I hope he heads back to my yard, so I can try to capture him again. I've missed seeing him daily. Thanks for letting me know he's okay. You've made my day!!

Thanks, Tony. I do know how to navigate the forum, but, aside from this thread that I started, I have no reason to read or follow Backyard Chickens, which is why I wouldn't have been aware that the Silver was spotted by someone else who started a new thread. I did read the post after being made aware of it by you. The Silver looks good. Hopefully, he'll continue to stay safe.
