Blue Sex-Links?

How do you even know they'd lay green eggs? Blue being the variety and meaning feather color not blue eggs. With no mention of what breed the splash sire was it could have been a Plymouth Rock, Jersey Giant, Marans or any other of the brown egg laying blue varieties.

The poster mentioned the hens should lay blue eggs.
Just going by that one would assume the rooster carries two genes for blue eggs.
I think they were giving a heads up that crossed with a brown egg layer that the eggs would be green instead of blue.

I have my first gen hens from a Blue Splash Roo and Barred Rock hens...every chick was born blue, and the hens should lay blue eggs.
