Wow, it has been a while! Let's see....new with me.... well, old first. My lav orps are still doing fine, even had one go broody this summer and hatch a couple of chicks. I have hatched several of them, but sold most of them, kept a couple of cockerels to cycle out the older boys though. I also added flocks of bantam cochins, seramas, old English game bantams in silver duckwing and self-blue, and my latest addition is bantam chocolate orps! I love them! I'm excited to breed them next year. I think all of my of-age females went broody this year and did great! So I incubated a bit less than I would have. Even my duck hatched out 10 babies!
I gave up on fixing my Janoel knockoff and got 2 Brinsea Octagons. I also got a cheap Styro FI that I used as a hatcher a few times when I staggered sets.
I'm anxious to see your new orp projects when they get going! Predators have had a little sucess with me, but not too horrible. Also have a small mouse issue too, those little devils drive me nuts.
Otherwise, it's been a fun summer!
