Our gander isn't interested in our goose

Hi; I am ne to the forum and need advice. I have a three year old pilgrim goose and a two year old gander. They run with a flock of 8 ducks. The gander has pushed the goose away from the group and attacks her if she gets too close. She has just started laying eggs. What should I do. He really goes after her if she gets too close. Now she just wanders around the property by herself.

Sounds like he is bonded with the ducks. I sure know what that is like I have a gander who bonded with my Muscovy's and when I got him a female he wanted nothing to do with her to the point of being mean. I finally had to separate them from the ducks and fixed it where he couldn't see them at all. It still took time and i had to watch him like a hawk to make sure he wasn't going to hurt her but breeding season cinched their relationship and now they are a beautiful pair. Your at a good time to do this since breeding season is just getting under way. Just where ever you put them make sure she can get away from him until love hits him like a ton of bricks. It will happen.
