Aww thank you!!!!

The first nights went pretty well. It took almost all of the momma bird in me to not hover and wake up every few hours to check on them. They are still oh so adorable and they are growing pretty fast already!!!

Oh my fluffy cuteness overload!!!! That seems like a special experience. It's been about 2ish weeks, how are the chicks doing?

They are doing fantastic! Thank you for asking. So sorry for the delay in reply (months) but work has been hectic (tis the season). They will always be my babies but they are no longer babies anymore. We got our first eggs a week and a day ago (7/24/2015) from one of our Ameraucana's, Ollie (my spirit creature 2.0) and they are a pretty light green! We got our first brown egg last night from one of the Black Australorp's, Artemis. I will give an updated post today with some photos and videos.

Never in a million years would I have imagined wanting or getting chickens but now that they are in my world, I couldn't imagine my life without them. It sounds really silly but they are such great pets and they develop some fun little personalities and are mind erasers when we get home from long work days, almost like watching "chicken TV".
