There are two kinds of bantams.
There are the kind that have large fowl counterparts, such as game bantams and big games. Cochin bantams and big cochins, and so on.
Then there are the "True" bantams. These are bantams that have no LF counterpart, such as Sebrights and a number of others.
So I've been thinking. Oops, it can get dangerous when I start thinking.
So anyhow, I've been thinking. What a fun project it would be to breed a true bantam UP into a large fowl. It would need to be something distinctive, like Japanese or D'Uccles.
But then if you did that, would the bantam counterpart still be called a true bantam?
Hmmmm, I'm real tempted to try to make some LF Mille Fleur D'Uccles. That would be so cool.
