My handsome boy Wilmer is ready to start 'dating' :)

Wilmer, my 2014 Toulouse gander, is pretty bored with our chickens anymore and needs a girlfriend or two. However, I can't seem to find hatcheries that sell females only. I don't want to get another male because 1) our geese are pets and I don't want a huge amount of them and b) Wilmer is my baby and I don't want him in fights.
Any suggestions as to where to get females? I don't care about the breed but Wilmer is mellow and friendly so I don't want anything aggressive like Embden geese.

Well, if you would like to order from a hatchery, Ideal sells females separately from males. They even have Toulouse if you'd like to stick to the breed.
 
Ideal is the only hatchery that I know of that allows female only orders. I ordered 2 females from them 2 years ago. I only ordered the 2 female buffs. They filled the box with rooster chicks for warmth.

Welcome to BYC you might also check your state thread, "where am i where are you' don't post an ad just stop in and get the know the folks tell them what you have and if anyone knows anyone who may have Toulouse or another breed you maybe interested in. also there is a Buy Sell Trade thread. Wilmer is beautiful
