Tractor Supply Chicks

Have an update since I posted last.

Last time I posted about my frustration about receiving three roosters. However, since the chicks have grown and feathered out a bit, I believe Tractor Supply had their breed labelled incorrectly.

The black chicks were labelled as black sex links (aka black stars). I believe they are actually 3 barred rock chicks, 2 pullets and 1 cockerel.

The yellow/rusty chicks were labelled as just pullets. I believe them to be red stars (aka red comets).

What do you guys think?

The red and white ones are red sex link pullets. You are correct about the barred Rocks, 2 pullets and a cockerel.

Awesome! Thanks so much on confirming my suspicions. I was looking to get just a single rooster this year for my hens, looks like I found him!

Will have to baby him so he doesn't turn too mean, although I'm not sure how well that will work in the end. He already seems to be the more aggressive chick. Not very aggressive, but he definitely shoves others out of his way using his feet or beak a lot! He was also the first to try out the mini perches I put in their brooder. I never knew 3 week old chicks would like to perch, but they do!
