Day 18 and air cells are small

Hi :) I'm soooo nervous it is my first hatch.. I had nightmares that night! I have an homemade incubator and have to check all the time the temoerature.. oooh I woke up several times at night.. to check it.. :p The air cells grew another 3mm bigger.. hope it's a good sign! but then I read that if I wouldn't increase humidity at day 18 or 19 the Membrane will be too thick to pip internally?? OOOh what should I do?
And thereis no sign of pipping in my eggs.. and it's day 20! Actually I set them on a Monday at night.. don't know if it was midnight or later (could be already Tuesday). I'm soooo nervous! At day 18/19 at night I put them in such cut down cartons but not vertical but "slopingly" with the diped side of the air cell upside..
hope it is ok so? I think that as I put them so I have to let them in that position..
Is it o with small air cells to increase now the humidity? at 65?
Thank you a looooot for your great help!

If it's day 20, I would go ahead and up the humidity. It is not uncommon for people to hold lockdown back a day or two to increase air cells and they don't have problems with the membranes. You have them elevated, you're doing everything you can to give them the best possible chance. So, just go into lockdown and up the humidity and hopefully you'll have great hatch!!

Hi again! I've an urgent question.. sorry for that much questions.. Just one last thing.. is it normal that the eggs are sweating?? temperature is at 38C and humidity at 65% sometimes it increases to 70%.. ane on the eggs I can see small waterdrops.. what's that? Should it be like this?
I'm boiled.. next time I buy an incubator not make one..
