Neighbors dogs, hawks, and coyotes. And an armadillo almost got into the pen once. It was surprising because you dont really see armadillos in alabama

Of the birds not being killed by ariel attacks, how many were in coops when attacked? Was it at night or during the day? Do you learn any tricks to prevent future attacks? my ladies will be moving to their coop in two weeks and I would love to know what areas seem to be the most targeted my predators. Plus people with dogs protecting their flocks from ariel attack- are the dogs with the chickens in the pen or free ranging? Or are they just nearby in the yard?

Ours got took in an open pen. We havent really done anything to prevent them. We just put some cheap then netting over the top of the pen

Stray dogs seems to be the biggest culprit I hear about. We breed LGD dogs so its a topic I hear about alot and most people I talk to have the biggest issue with stray dogs.

We just had a hawk pick up one of our Brahma chicks, get about 6 or so feet off the ground and then drop it. The chick is okay - just a couple of holes in her back, but she earned a new name - Talon! Needless to say, free range time just ended for the chicks - it's back to the baby run for them.
