I'm glad I'm not the only one they do this to!
My boys had pretty much the same thing, except they weren't as friendly towards each other.
Once, they actually got into a fight and Patches, my white/black/peach male, attacked Scruff, my white male. Scruff had a chunk of skin ripped off his back. Although we cleaned it, it still got infected and wouldn't close up. We eventually had to take him to the vets; he got the wound flushed and some antibiotics to take daily. After then, we never kept them together.
Patches died a few years after that accident, but Scruff is still going strong. He lives with my female, Cupcake. He's too old to produce any babies, so that's the only reason they're aloud to be together.
(He used to live with two females, Cupcake and Precious, but Precious died recently.
