cept 1 of the chicks i traded was my orange barred rock (BYC Hippie bloodlines big_smile ) haha,, but,,,,, he's cool.. i think he's the same as the 1 pictured on page 1 ,, and i already got his girlfriends picked out big_smile

Well how close do you trim them to the leg?  It scares me that I might have to do that some day, but if this works then it sounds quick and easy and less painful.
How did you know how long to leave them?  Do you have pics of how it looks now?

i dont have pics of "my work" lol,, and i dont have that red game anymore sad  but what convinced me was the "open" nerves, and then i was pointed to this web page,,  http://www.freewebs.com/cajunyankee/spurs.htm

does it with a little hand saw, but its the same with dremil,, plus i liked the idea that if i messed up and went to far, the dremil would help with the bleeding. i like that dudes info on that page.

We try to keep about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch away from the leg when cutting.  Also if you securely hold the leg and spur and tap the end of the spur a few times with a small hammer before cutting, you will greatly minimize the chance of bleeding also.
