My chick that is half bantam was cold and lonely(my heat lamp bulb broke) and VERY vocal about it. It kept running up under a couple older chicks and trying to get under their wings, lol. I used an empty icing cup and folded a paper towel and rolled it on the inside then put a black sock around the outside to absorb heat from the 60 watt bulb hanging over my brooder box. My baby is as happy as a pig in slop now. Comfy, cozy n warm.
