ASAP Pheasant?

I have 3 ringneck pheasants in about a 6x12 pen and the male is trying to breed the females and its kind of wild and I am afraid they will get hurt or hang themselves in the netting on top what do I do. also when do they usually start breeding, and laying eggs. I am thinking since pheasants aren't super domesticated like chickens that they will be more broody and I hope one of the 2 will brood the eggs. also do I leave the male in the same pen while the hens are trying to brood?
 
Yeah they do get a little wild during their courtship.They should be fine.I wouldn't hold your breath on the sitting though,they rarely set on their eggs.Your pen has to be fort knox tight so the chicks(if they hatch them) don't get out.Their natural instinct when they see you is to run and they will find every little hole and try to get away.
You will have to use the trial and error system to see if the hens will sit.If they don't sit within 10 days I would incubate them.

Hmm I don't have an incubator and don't really want to buy one just for this maybe I could make one. This pen though is fort knox on steroids, I watched a red fox for probably 30 minutes total try to get in and he was probably there an hour total, I chased him away a couple times and I almost ran him down and stomped him once cuz he let me get really close and hid behind a tree, I could see his tail on one side and his legs on the other
 
That's a fox though.Any little hole a pheasant chick will find and will be gone.Even a squirrel hole will work for them and they may never come out.
Maybe you can get some bantams to hatch your eggs and then brood them yourself.

Yea I know I just thought I would share that I am pretty sure it is secure enough of not I will wrap the bottom inside of the pen with card board
