My 5 year-old daughter fell in love with these adorable grey bantam, clean legged chickens at a show this weekend. They have the signature chipmunk cheeks of an Americana. I am getting a pair from the breeder this summer. Here is the catcher, for the life of me I cannot remember what they are. I think he said De Ambers??? I cannot find that on Google so it has to be wrong. Can anyone help me name that breed ?

Yes!!! That would be the name. Thank you so much!!! They seemed like the sweetest little chicken. Do you think they would make a good showmanship bird for a 5 year-old? My older boys each have their breeds/lines, and she wants her own :).

Yes, they do sound like D'Anvers. In my experience, D'Anvers are a great breed for children and should work fine for showmanship. They generally are docile and inquisitive little bantams.
