I got 12 babies a week ago Sunday, The smallest chicks I have ever gotten, all were very active and looked happy, healthy and friendly.
They have a large pen that has pine shavings on the bottom. they have a heat lamp that keeps one end warm and they can move out of the heat if they want to.
We are giving them un-medicated chick starter and fresh water every day 2 x a day, they also get a few mean worms every day,
I have even brought in a large pan of dirt from the outside coop to get them used to it,
I have lost 3 babies now and don't know what to do for them, if I move them in front of the food or the water they eat and drink.

please give me any advice that you think might be helpful. I am very worried and feel heloless,

Shelly

I'm sorry for your loss. Baby chicks are very fragile and exposing young ones to the dirt from outside also exposes them to Mareks which wild birds carry and it's everywhere. Your older birds have had time to develop some immunity to it and may not show any symptoms. I would give them Save-A-Chick vitamins in their water and keep encouraging eating and drinking. I hope they recover. I know how devastating it is to lose them. I now vaccinate all my chicks for Mareks.
