Planning on picking up a Cream Legbar, Partridge Plymouth Rock, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Buckeye and maybe an Australorp end of this month from Meyer Hatchery.. Excited but super nervous of the ordences and start up costs!

You'll be getting some nice breeds! I'm particularly a fan of the Wyandotte breed- mine have been good layers and sweet, docile, and hardy birds. Australorps also have a reputation for being very gentle and excellent egg layers.

Thanks everyone!

I went back and forth between what breeds to get, started out a EE, Golden Comet, Welsummer and Australorpe but they were not available. I'm pretty happy with my current selection, now to keep them alive and hope for no Roos!

I was looking for really cold hardy, docile, good layers and hey pretty! I even made pictures with those breeds together to see how they all looked. haha.
