this is what i use
stock tank float valve
I dont like nipple waterers because it gets so hot here I dont feel they can deep drink out of em. The deeper water stays cooler in the summertime. Especially in the shade. Also when it frezes jthe Iceblock just pops out so you can refill.
float thingy works I have had a single one on a 110 gallon stock tank now for ten years. Yes its hooked up to a hose. I am not sure what joked is.
I was just showing what I use. and stating why. Obviously it wont work for every one. when I have chicks or littleuns in the coop I cap it with chicken wire so no one drowns... I set the wire about half an inch below the water.
I run hoses to all locations in my yard where water will be delivered.
Within the coop I had three of these waterers setup for the different pens. Run off a PVC pipe that had hose bibs attached. From those I used washer connection hoses to run to the waterers.
