Ok I live in upper pa with very cold winters and very warm summers. My hubby said I could get an ornemental feathered friend but I dont know what kind to get. Does anyone have any ideas that I may look into.?:)
 
Most breeds are very hardy. Do you have any other chickens? If you only get one it may be difficult for it to stay warm in the winter without being able to huddle together with others for warmth. I have an Appenzeller Spitzhauben that is my absolute favorite.
