Hi everyone! So I have been looking around for help online & didn't find any yet. I have emailed some chicken vets waiting on replies. But I know gapeworm kill's fast so please help!
There isn't a chicken vet around me anywhere so the only help I can get is other chicken owners.

I have a pet chicken & wondering if she has Respiratory Diseases or Gape Worm.
(some back story on her-
My dad found her in a parking lot last year in November & it was cold, it was nighttime. He caught her & took her home. I fell in love with her so I kept her as a pet. I took her baths to make sure she's clean & she's been fine.Until this month I notice her acting weird. She lives inside my house. At night, she sleeps in a huge cage, big enough for a two chiwawa's to walk around comfortably in. But the cage is ONLY FOR THE NIGHT just to keep her out of trouble while we are all sleeping. During the day she's walking around until I go to bed (11/12) I really love her, she's my pet & lays eggs so shes great! Please, someone help me, I don't want to lose her.)

She is acting fine 90% of the time, but other times; she's breathing with her mouth open, she is chocking & jumping while chocking, I guess to try to breathe? Also, I have noticed that she has a Clear mucus like substance in her mouth? Every time I see it I get a paper cloth & clean it out.
If this helps; I remember when my dad caught her, I seen that she used to get tiny bubbles in her eyes. But that was about 3 months ago, I haven't seen those bubbles since.

I did some research on what medicine to get if she has worms or if it's respiratory diseases. I've came up with this: (let me know if they are correct or if you have something that's better)
For Respiratory- Tylan
For Gape Worm- (Fenbendazole) safegaurd for dogs
Valbazen

Also, PLEASE tell me the dosage?

Please help!

(this is my first post, I made this account just now)

I'm thinking it is a respiratory disease. You can do a simple check for gapeworms. You can gently swab the inside of her mouth with a long q-tip. If you see any bit of blood on the cotton or a tiny worm - you have your answer,

She also could have both problems simultaneously because the gape worms would lower her resistance to other health issues. She really needs to be attended to. Do you have any vets that treat chickens? Hope she will be ok.
