I had the humidity at 45 to 50 most of the time and that was with only about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water total. I added more water on lockdown but have not gotten it to go past 67. I did raise the temp to keep it at 99 to 100 degrees because when the humidity went up the temp went down. I guess I don't need to do this....cause I hate to think I am hurting little baby chicks
Don't let thisaffect your decision on hatching eggs. My first hatch was about 75% and my second was 0%. It all just takes time getting used to your incubator. Now my hatches range from 50 to 100%. Usually the 100% is because I only had 2 or 3 eggs at lockdown an they all hatched!!!
. So...I personally bought a incukit from incubator warehouse and replaced the one in my still air LG 9300. I just set eggs about 3 days ago so I will keep you I formed as to how the hatch goes. It was a recommendation from another BYCer. Her hatch rate went from 50 to 95% after the swap out. I wish luck for hatches soon!!!!
