I was candling her eggs as she was out and about last night. One of the eggs has an crack that looks like something pressed into the shell. I brought it in the put it in an incubator I had set up for a school hatch project.
This morning I got the idea of trying to seal off the hole with an egg shell piece from some eggs I cooked for breakfast. I am a little worried about introducing bacteria but I felt I needed to do something to block the hole so the inside didnt dry too much. Not sure but I think the membrane was still intact across the indention.
Im wondering, has anyone had any experience with such an occurrence. Im wondering if it is most likely that the mama broke the egg when she discovered it was not viable any longer. It looks like it had developed when I candle it but it is too dark to see much.
