Good luck with your duck! I don't know much about ducks or duck behavior, so I would defintiely post at the link TwoCrows left you with.

Ducks have a lot of predators like chickens. Dogs probably are threatening to him. Do you only have one duck? He would probably be less stressed if he was with a flock of other ducks.
