Sewandgrow's Third Annual "Friends of A Feather" Poultry Party, Turlock CA, May 3rd, 2015 (Chat Thre

Sure if Karen doesn't want both. They are late bloomers. They are almost 8 weeks old and are just starting to get their tail feathers. They aren't showing much if any copper yet. I assume that will start to show soon. They are pretty tame, when I open their little pen door I have to physically keep pushing them back inside. My wife (Gayle) gets a laugh out of it every time. I wrote to Sue & said I would share.......In my experience with BCMs you have to be patient. I find them slow to mature to be the beautiful birds they become. I learned to just wait & let them go through a couple of molts then they transform. Years ago I was worried that I wasn't producing anything special but low & behold I got busy & wasn't watching closely while I was down & they looked like different birds beofre I knew it.

I too have raised many bottle fed goat kids. They are so sweet............. Maybe my Dexters would like a goat playmate. We used to keep a goat or 2 with the horses back in the days I had horses (long ago). They make good companion animals.

I think you might enjoy this photo, so I'll share. I sell SC sheep as cow companions, sometimes. This lady lives in Tujunga, on the outskirts of the Los Angeles area. She has a little over an acre and bought a lamb from me, last month, as a companion for her mini cow.

Too cute.... My daughter has a big dumb lumbering dog that hangs out around all the animals too....LOL

They sure do, and they are cute and friendly so it makes them easy keepers! My son has shown Boer goats for the last three years at the fair and this year he is showing a chicken and he said "Mom, I miss my goats, but these chickens are pretty close as far a being friendly", I just laughed cuz he was being so stubborn about switching animals.

I just love mastiffs. We used to raise and show Old English Mastiffs and they are the best dogs ever!!!
