i've never liked or used them (yes, i understand their purpose

)... when i moved from Long Island to Virginia, i had to have bloodwork, throat swabs, cloacal swabs, etc. done on 30 birds from my mixed flock of peas, geese and chickens..(NO problems)... 30 were banded ... no problems, but on a few of the geese, the leg bands look tight and i'd like to remove them more as a preventative measure... any tips on the easiest(on the birds and me)/best way to do this?

thanks, john

I'd have someone hold each bird so they aren't able to move and risk being cut while you clip with a pair of sharp scissors.
