Coop floor?

One of the best investments that I made when building my coop was the shower board from Home Depot. Under $35 for an 8' X 4' sheet but it make clean up a breeze.

I run scoop shovel over it every two days (we have 16 hens and 2 ducks) putting the manure in my garden area. Then once every two weeks I give it five minutes with my pressure washer.

One of the greatest investments I've made was building a large chicken coop.

Your chickens want lots of space to run around and stretch their wings. The more space you give your chickens, the happier and healthier they’ll be.

Generally, you should provide your backyard chickens with a minimum of 2 square feet per bird unless you’re raising bantam chickens, which only need 1.5 square feet per bird.

My coop is 32 square feet, we have sixteen hens. But the chickens don't seem to care how much floor space. It's roosting bars that matter to them. My run is 224 square feet.

We used a heavy duty landscaping plastic on the bottom. We covered it with old wooden fence panels that we had knocked off the frame and painted. Finally we covered it all up with a cheap piece of linoleum from Home Depot. We LOVE it. Solid and firm but super easy to clean.
