Duck Eggtopsy - Warning, Lots of Graphic Pictures!

Pics
Any pics, duck, 6 day quitter? And what would/could cause it? My sense says bacteria... Maybe. Wasn't the only one that quit on same day. No odor and no discoloration. What would a bacterial quit look like?

What did the inside of the shell look like?

A fetus (like your post #45 ) starting to break down and not as progressed. The yolk was a nice yellow no off colors of yolk or shell. No odor. Today is day 8 of incubation.

Hmmm... Need to do a little research.

The shell was clean. I didn't clean it. Bator was sterilized last season. I've left the other eggs in bator (have to go get ziplock bags) will crack another quitter a send a pic. When I get to civilization!

Try without the bag... Make hole small in air cell, then slowly peel away the air cell shell and try pouring the contents onto a plate.

I had two duck eggs in a homemade incubator and they died on day 19, I suspect that they got to hot when our outdoor temp went from freezing one day to 80 the next. See any thing to the contrary?
