Hmmm. Mine don't have puffy cheeks, but they do have that brown chipmunk look.

That first one looks like mine! Thanks for looking!
She was all very light/pale yellow with one little black spot on her head. Have you ever seen the movie HOP? We called her Carlos, bc she looked a lot like him wink.png

hmmm...I don't see any black on any of my really light yellow/white chicks.

They seem really solid. I have never had leghorns but I imagine them to be lighter built than these guys are. :idunno

I guess time will tell....

If I remember correctly, I don't think all of delawares had a black spot. My daughter picked her out bc of the spot smile.png it was really so faint it looked like dirt.

I emailed Meyer hatchery yesterday and sent  pictures asking for their guesses as to what breed I might have.

The woman made the same guesses as we did on all but this one;

She thought it might be a blue splash marans. Look here https://www.meyerhatchery.com/productinfo.a5w?prodID=BSMS and click on the little thumbprint photos to see the chick pictures.

That would be cool if she is right! I think I have three of these.

The foot color looks right.

Any chance you can update with current pics so we can see what they are now?

Cant find my other BYC account, so had to revert to this one...

My philosophy: if it aint broke, dont fix it. If it aint sick, dont treat it. "Organic" has its place, but not at the expense to the well being of the animal. I vaccinate my children, and I'll vaccinate my animals. If you ask, I'll tell you. If your being nosy, I will tell you so, if your honestly seeking my $.02, I'll honestly...

I got a pm asking me to update. So.....

I sold all these birds. They turned out to be a pretty boring mix. They were mostly white rocks and golden comets. There was one barred rock and one welsummer.

If I had to do it again I would buy the varieties I wanted. I have done the 'surprise' packs twice now and been underwhelmed. For me it is worth getting what I want and paying a bit more next time.
