Parma OH Ordinances?

Hi, just found this thread. Have you ever accomplished anything with it or is it still on going? Would live to have an urban homestead here in Parma

Is anyone aware if Parma allows backyard chickens? I have read different things. When I went into City Hall, they told me that chickens aren't allowed. And if this is true, how to I go about changing it? It seems silly to me that in Cleveland you're allowed, but a suburb isn't.

Ohio House Bill 124 which was presented last May (2019) by Rep. Brinkman supports allowing small livestock including chickens in residential housing. It went to the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee for review. You might consider contacting them to encourage them to pass the bill.

Did you make them show you the ordinance in writing? If not, don't take their word for it.

Ohio House Bill 124 would allow residential homeowners in all of Ohio to raise chickens. It was put forward last year but is under review by the Agriculture committee. You may think about writing to committee members to encourage them to pass the bill into law.
