Hello!
My name is Stephanie and my husband and I are trying to find out if we can have backyard chickens. Right now it seems that there is an ordinance against it,but I'd like to change that. It's from 2006 anyways, old news. We need to update that to allow it. I would love some advice as to how I can get started on changing out local laws. After all, it's us who have the voice!

Welcome from another newbie waiting to get chickens-
LOL, mine is a 'we're moving issue' and not a legislative one but just wanted to encourage you in you efforts and give you a quote from one of my favorite TV shows- West Wing:

President Josiah Bartlet: "...Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Do you know why?"
Will Bailey: "Because it's the only thing that ever has."

Kelsie's given you some excellent links to take a look at! I hope you can keep chickens.

Good morning Stephanie,
Please let me know if there are any petitions going for Parma
and if there is anything I can do about it.
I had house in Parma and I had 80 chickens. I was stupid enough to buy another house in Parma. one of my neighbors eyes almost popped out when I asked her if I can have 5 chickens on my soon to be fenced yard.

also if anyone knows rules for having quail in Parma
