What kind of flooring are they on? I line the brooder with paper towels and sprinkle some starter feed on them. They'll usually start pecking at that.I have new chicks tbat won't eat :-( they're drinking plenty of water but it's day 2 and still won't eat a thing...any advice?
Is the food too big for them? I feed mine fermented feed so its basically mush. I kind of peck at it with my finger to get them to notice it. Once one figures it out the rest soon follow.
ETA - did you hatch them or buy them?
I use a gallon bucket right now.
They have regular organic starter feed and they have pine shavings. Our others ate right away but these ones won't. Maybe I'll put some in a blender to see if that helps
