my friends duck has become ill and all he is doing is staying in one spot and squirming he hasn't eaten anything since this morning please someone tell me what to do she really loves her duck :'(

'Squirming' --- can you describe this a bit more? I would suggest a vet to be honest, this sounds fairly serious and by the time we figure out a potential or likely diagnosis it may be too late. Squirming could be convulsions, tremors, spasms, attempts to dislodge a foreign body or object lodged in the throat or crop, or so many other things, due to injury, heavy metal toxicity, impaction, the list goes on and on and it's not something easy to diagnose sight unseen, but it does sound urgent.

Good luck and best wishes.

Glad to have you join! Feel free to make yourself at home!

I agree - I can't imagine what squirming would denote. Is there another word you could use. Tremors, shivering,??? He does sound in distress and I would wonder if had something stuck in his throat and can't dislodge it, or it is hurting him. Have you tried to check out his throat with a flashlight.?
