I just moved my broilers outside and was wondering if they still need the heat lamp. They are fully feathered except for their fuzzy little heads. I have been leaving the heat lamp off during the day to transition them but this is night one in the tractor and don't know if I need to add heat or if they are ready. It's usually 60 to 70 here during the day and they love that. At night it drops to mid 40 to 50. I am hoping I don't have to run an extension cord all the way out to pasture, but I will do what I need to. Thanks for the help. They are also 4 almost 5 weeks old

They all survived the past 2 nights in the tractor with no supplemental heat. They seem to love running around in there and eating grass. It's cool when you see them chase bugs. Being out of the broader and on pasture they are starting to seem a lot more like real chickens. Running scratching a flapping around. I am wanting to start giving them some different chow to mix in here and there I.e. corn, oats. Any suggestions?
