So something got to my ducks yesterday my beautiful muscovy drake and hen gone. One runner gone and another runner was crying when I pulled up. She had a bit if blood coming from her beak. She couldn't stand without falling forward and her legs splaying. I put her in her own kennel with heat, light and food. She hisses when we approach and tries to get away. She is alive today but still toppling over any ideas?

I am deeply sorry for your loss :hugs. Must of been a close call for her. Try adding Sav-a-chick probiotics/electrolyte to her water to aid her system. Do her legs look ok? Does she have any injuries? She might be in shock still and it might be awhile before it subsides. I stepped on E'asters foot once and it took her a while to forgive me. Just take it slow with her and try to make her comfy.

Be sure that the security problem is fixed. She has bee traumatized. Give her some time - you need to examine her carefully and find points of injury - and you need to treat them. Scratches, puncture wounds, all need to be cleaned, perhaps the feathers clipped away. Saline solution three or four times a day to start can really help. Think about getting ahold of some oral antibiotics in case a systemic infection comes up. The electrolytes are a great idea. See if you can get her into a tub of lukewarm water - it will help clean her off and may help calm her down. And you can get a closer look at her. Check under wings, and around the vent, the tops of her legs.
