Solar Powered Ventilation

I am going to install a battery pack with this.

I have ordered a holder that will hold 8 AA rechargable batteries. That will be 12 volts. It should charge during the day and run the fans after the sun goes down.

I will keep you updated.

I installed the battery pack. Most of the batteries were salvaged from led lighting that was outside but the lights stopped working. I unplugged the solar panel and the batteries were able to run the fans. The idea is for the fans to run for a couple of hours after the sun goes down. I will let you know how this works after a couple of sunny days.

As an update, I bought an 80 watt system. Quite similar to the 25 watt one pictured. I got it from Costco and it really was well priced. It was CND219 or so. In came with a 300 watt inverter.

As well, my car battery died so I added that to the system.

I eventually want to add my string of christmas led lights and the timer to it. Those run off 120 volts. So I will use the inverter for that.

thanks for the good idea and good pics. I already have some computer fans piled in a corner of my office. I'll get my kid to hook them up to a solar panel.
