I lost a 4 week old chick that seemed healthy I don't want to loose the rest of my flock help

We put a lot of thought into raising chicks and when ready got 6 chicks from feed store. Two weeks later we bought 2 more. All have been doing very well. Eating drinking sleeping roaming. No poop butts. my daughter is heartbroken. We don't want to loose anymore. Any thoughts on what happened. They live in a toddler swimming pool with a heat lamp and chick feeders and waterers. NoNE were breathing heavy or fluffy either.
 
Nothing abnormal that I can tell but we have 8 and they are in partial towel and partial shavings so it's hard to tell
