Canadian feed options

Where in Ontario are you? I was born and raised west of Ottawa! A lot will contain soy bean to get the protein up, if not they will commonly use animal proteins. I wouldn't worry about the being allergic to it unless you are eating it. I would not waste my money on any organic product let alone chick feed! (that's a whole other debate!) Typically our feed doesn't show ingredients, just content of vitamins, minerals, protein, etc, You will probably have a hard time finding this info unless contacting master feeds or the producer. I wouldn't be concerned about buying a whole bag of starter. you can keep the chicks on it for 4-6 weeks. You would be surprised how much they eat at 5 weeks old when they aren't outside picked on greens and bugs! Hope this helps!
