Very nice set up you have in your coop. Sorry you lost your favorite, we lost our two fav hens not long after we got them, didn't know that they had to be locked up in the coop and run at night. Now they get locked up as soon as they put themselves to bed. Today it was so mild, but windy and drizzly. I put up plastic sheeting on two sides of the coop/run, and must have looked like some kind of nut to the neighbors...trying to maneuver giant sheets of plastic in what felt like 100 MPH winds! And as usual, ran into a few snags, but at least got the largest side done, albeit it's ugly and patched, thanks to the wind constantly tearing it away. I have more to do, including a rain flap to protect the edges of the poop board under the roosts, rain tends to get in via the big doors on the back of the coop that we use to clean and collect eggs.
