I have a Mallard Duck laying on my property!

So... We have a momma duck laying on my property, we have a koi pond which might be the reason she chose here and my family and I have agreed shes not in the safest place... She is along our hedge line where we have a bush and shes under that and we are afraid thats not safe from other animals. We would like to help in any way possible!

For domestic ducks, generally we recommend that if you cannot move the nest into the night shelter, to build shelter around the nest.

Anything at this point is risky - too much disturbance and she could abandon the nest. No protection, and as a sitting duck, she can be taken by a predator.

Just thinking out loud here - a couple of strand of electric fence around a several-foot wide perimeter may protect her.
