Six new babies home from the hatchery (4 buff Orps and 2 blues) and I'll tell ya, everyones pooped. Growin up takes a lot of work! Everybody is all splayed out, lined up like dominos. (At least after the first 2 we brought home last week, I know not to have an utter meltdown when they stretch out like that. I love the "slow fade" as they fall asleep standing up.
The older girls (2 black Australorps) seem to be adapting well, in fact the tiniest of the buffs ( we call her Oeuf, french for egg..) managed to chase the two around for a minute. Funny and I thought she was gonna be the passive one!
Im just happy as a clam, watching the girls, and chuckle to myself every time I look at the smaller Australorp's little tail feathers growing in. Just adorable.
Thanks again for the reassurance on the first two, I so appreciate it! I'll be back back with updates ( I can't help myself) And congrats to all the new chick fams out there!
