New all black chicks that the farm calls a Asian black

I can't find anything in this chick my wife thought it looked cool and picked up two. They are mostly black with a red beak and light black feet

Someone else on here posted a chick that was said to be that same breed. I believe the general consensus is that it is a recent mixed breed that is not yet recognized officially as a breed. Very little information on them.

If you google it you get all kinds of ways to cook black skinned chickens.

Here is a link to that thread if you are interested.

Yea I googled them and found the same thing the farm said that they will have blackish green iridescent head with a black body and black feet. They did not tell me what kind of eggs they will lay or how many. If anyone has a full grown one please let me know

Brown eggs. I think I read 200-250 eggs/year. They seem to be a new thing this year, so you probably won't be able to find a picture of an adult easily.

Looks a lot like a Black Sex-Link. I'm not familiar with the Asian Black cross/breed.

Owner of about 20 chickens and 12 exhibition rabbits

Always happy to answer questions! You can ask me about diseases, raising chicks, feeding, and breeds!

x2

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost

Now that it's been a year, do you have any pictures of the chicks as adults?  They're selling them at Tractor Supply again and I'm curious.  :)

I found this link from a hatchery:  https://www.purelypoultry.com/asian-black-chickens-p-1288.html

Wonder if this is what it turned out to be.....
