Hello everyone! I entered my pet duck Frozen in a cutest pet contest! If he wins, he gets to grace the cover of 85086 Magazine (a local publication in my community).

He could use your support as there are a couple of dogs who are coming up from behind and giving him a run for his money! If you would not mind voting (and perhaps even sharing on social media), you can do so once every 24 hours through April 10.

Here is the link to his entry: http://on.fb.me/1GXxXFr

That link may not work on some mobile devices, in which case you can go to the following mobile page and scroll down to his picture (he's the only duck) to vote: http://bit.ly/1GBR0YM

Thank you in advance for your support! I'd like the chance to share with others what amazing pets ducks are as he has proven to be my best friend since I got him just under 4 years ago!

Thanks Highcotten! The e-mail took a couple of minutes to arrive on my end as well but once I clicked on it I was able to vote again today (24 hours later) very easily. By the way, I'm not that new. I just post that often and prefer to just read/research, although BYC members have helped me out of some emergencies in the past - including when Frozen refused to eat and I had to take him to a vet that put a tube down his very long neck and I had to give him antibiotics.

Thanks Smurfbrew! When we woke up this morning and I told Frozen that a pit bull had pull ahead of him, he started quacking like crazy! He has a huge ego and really wants to win! :)

Also, if the confirmation link does not show up in your e-mail, please check your spam folder.

Have you tried posting this to the duck groups on Facebook ("Ducks ducks & ducks" and "Ducks as garden pets" are the ones I'm on)? That might help as well. Must beat that pitbull! ;)

I haven't yet but I will today. The Indian Runner Duck Association was kind enough to post something on their Facebook page (although it sounds like they frown upon diapers, lol). Sadly, the pit bull is not his only competition now as a labrador retriever puppy has also pulled ahead of him.
