Show me Pics of your Chicks!!!

Okay I don't mean to sound dumb but when it comes to chicken stuff I am... is "Partridge" a reference to color? That mottled brown, black, beige and can any chick/chicken hatched with those colors be considered Partridge?
Do you find that friendlier birds are friendlier right from the being as a rule?
Of course they are so very cute.
Yes it is a coloring and not a breed so there friendliness depends on the breed. I've also never had one before so I'll tell you how she turns out to be like!

Here is a pic my wife did yesterday of our Black Australorp Chicks. We had 12 out of 14 hatch in our Genesis Hova-Bator 1588. The little fellows are so sweet!

The hatch date was 04-15-2015. It was our first hatch this year.

Wow great job on your hatch. How did you like that incubator, was it difficult to use and maintain?
And of course the little fuzzy butts are adorable! And let your wife know she did a great job with the photography.
Have a great day . and thank you for the pictures.

That incubator is wonderful! I was working on a spreadsheet for classroom incubating, and found a professor in Nebraska that suggested the Genesis Hova-Bator 1588. They have been doing classroom incubating since the 70's and a lot of research for GQF Manufacturing Company (link: https://www.gqfmfg.com/store/front.asp). The professor recommended the 1588 to us. It is calibrated and ready to go right out of the box. We didn't change the settings one iota. Shay said thanks for the picture comment; she has a lot of fun with photography. The baby chicks make nice subjects. :) Thanks for the thread. You gotta love the Springtime!

April has been a non-stop run for us here at our farm. We're running 3 incubators and have staggered the hatches to one per week (hatching BLSW & EE). It's chick-central here! Added to that, we ordered 3 new breeds for our stock from Cackle Hatchery and those arrived yesterday (BLGW, BP, BA) . I haven't got any shots of the hatch in the incubator yet since they are still in lock down. Here's a few shots of the hatchery order:

Wow they are of course such cute little butterballs. Good luck with all your home hatchings. Thank you for the pictures.
