I had some reading to catch up on - it has been so busy here, I've fallen behind! I'm just loving all the baby pictures - looking forward to this weekend's batch of pics
. I might be brave today and go to the feed store, so far I've not set foot in there since they got chicks (I've been sending DH so I don't have to test my willpower and use Ralph's fabulous marital bliss advice). Coco is officially broody now - she managed a spectacular hiss/tail fan and fluff when I tried to shoo her out of the nest box today. Yikes - I've never heard either of the girls make those noises. She was really grouchy when I ousted her, but didn't manage to get any good bites in. Poor BIg BIrd is going to have trouble getting in there now
. I have no fertile turkey eggs since the boys reside on the other side of the barn - would she hatch chicken eggs if I can't discourage this?
Memphis - I love how your neighbors come and visit your birds. I really want a SS, they are so pretty and seem to have great personalities. My ladies are all super friendly, but you can never have too many friendly chickens right?
Ralph - Loved the SS pics! Any new baby pics to share? I had another giggle being reminded about your marital bliss article - I will never let DH read that.... I employ those tactics occasionally!
Aurora - What babies are hatching this week? Is Pebbles still abstaining from broodiness?
