Hello, just wondering what the best bedding to use for a brooder box is?
Thanks!

We started w/ DryDen but I hated how dirty our chicks feet got so I switched us to pine shavings. It's cheap and easy to scoop w/ a kitty litter scoop. I scoop 2xs a day with a full clean out once a week. Works like a charm here.

Chelle = Keeper of Chaos.

Currently: 5 children + 1 childlike old man + 2 dogs + 2 rabbits + 2 cats

2 RSLs . 3 RIRs . 4 BRs . 1 SLWs . 2 BOs

2 Welsummers . 2 NHRs . 1 Buff Silkie

I use sand with puppy pads over the top for a week or two.

Chickens: Chocolate Orpington, Blue Orpington, Cream Legbar, olive egger (Rhodebar), Light Brahma, and Cuckoo Marans.

Plus 3 dogs, 3 cats, 4 human kiddos, and one great husband. :)
