Apologies, I thought that you were referring to an earlier post about my automated watering container that I had made. Yes that is indeed a light bulb that I use inside the carton to keep them warm. Had to switch it off for the photo.

I prefer to make make my own equipment as far as possible. So far I have made this Incubator, an automated feeder and the automated watering container. All of them works very efficiently and above all I enjoy being creative and making/building things.
 
Are you keeping your chicks or selling them? Great invention by the way. I am looking for warm hardy chickens, I live in southern Mississippi. If you are willing to sell, what is the price? Thank you.
 
These chickens would have been ideal. Unfortunately I am living in South Africa. These chickens are a South African developed breed especially for our harsh conditions.
