New Zealand meat rabbits breeding/genetics question

I bred a broken red buck to a rew and all the offspring were rew, black, and broken black.

Bred the same buck to a black doe and got red, black, broken black, rew, broken red, and red Dalmatian (as I call it) and black Dalmatian.

That's normal for the New Zealand breed. Sounds like your buck is carrying a REW gene, and your Black doe is carrying genes for REW and Red. Of course you know that dalmatian is not a color; showable Brokens can have spots or blankets, and those are spotted. Brokens that only have a little bit of white on the legs and face are referred to as "booted" Brokens; they don't have enough white on them to be showable. Rabbits that inherit the Broken gene from both parents are sometimes referred to as "Charlies," they typically have too much white to be showable.

We acquired 3 mini Rex rabbits about 3 weeks ago and this past weekend one of the does had trouble breathing. Wife secluded her and was gonna put her down, but I decided to check her more closely and found a bot fly larva on her neck about ready to drop out. Apon removing the larva, I rinsed the wound with saline for contacts and filled the wound with triple antibiotic ointment. The opening was large enough that I could fit my fingertip in it. The rabbit sneezed a lot of stuff from her nose and is breathing better.
Have you ever run into this before? And any suggestions for treatment?
