Had to share my babies...soon to be crazy chicken lady!

I can relate crazy chicken lady!. I have taken over the care of our new flock as if I had sat on the eggs and hatched them myself. It seems like like the old chicken coop is not good enough without remodeling and the brooder is never clean enough or temperature adequate for these babies. This group has definitely gotten my momma instincts going...

Thank you! A lot of blood sweat and tears in that coop! Its all repurposed except for the 3-tab on the roof and the screws! So we're in it for around $50 so far. I could sit for hours and just watch my chicks! My hubby calls it chicken whispering

Joined my 2 week olds and 4 week olds today after forced segregation. Although they could interact through the chicken wire, the littles were protected. No worries here! My 2wk EE decided she didn't want the big girls in her dust bath...so a little back jumping ensued and she got her dust bath back

Just transferred my flock to the garage yesterday. I have the heat lamp and a heater on. temps in high 30's to 40 at night. My 3 1/2 to 7 1/2 week old flock are all together and i'm just trying to meet the needs of the youngest for another week or so; then i'm putting them in my coop with heating lamp.

We have everyone outside now. Beautiful weather and warm temps..girls are doing fine. The 2 week chicks are trying to hang with the big girls, but hang in the coop more.
