What sex and what breed?

They cannot be Black Copper Marans because they have a headspot, which means they will be barred or cuckoo. So, UniqueChickens, I think you are right that they are Cuckoo Marans (the feet look pink to me). As far as gender, full body shots showing the headspot and the wings is generally helpful for barred/cuckoo chickens. The males will have two barring genes, the females one. That means the males will be lighter than the pullets.

ETA: does the top bird have feathered legs?
