Hi,
please please tell me that I don't have all roosters! This was my first time getting chicks and I'm really nervous about them all being roosters...I don't even know what to do with them if I have to get rid of them! I have 6 chicks. One has a pretty noticeable comb developing, much bigger than the others, but all the others are developing little combs now too. Does a "spiky" comb = rooster? What age do females start getting a comb? They can't all be roosters, can they? They all had the dark V and eyeliner at a few days old. Thanks for you help ...

How do you recommend getting rid of the rooster? Should I just post him for free on craigslist or is there a better way, other than making him dinner?(which I'm not going to do!)

Take him to a poultry swap. I know I'd love to have some Welsummers. I have three EE chicks that look a lot like Wellies so I'm hoping they have a lot of Welly blood in them.

I have a suspected Welsummer roo, and I noticed its shoulders are bald also. Is this a rooster trait I wonder?
